Caron Smith, BSc, BSW, MSW, RSW, RCC
My social work practice began in Alberta in 2001.
I have counselled in a women’s clinic, seniors’ organizations, and a large hospital. I have a Master of Social Work degree, with a Clinical Specialization. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
Through my personal experience, and my extensive training, I have developed a compassionate style of counselling, which emphasizes careful listening. I want to help you tap into your innate resources, strength, and wisdom.
Ideally, our time together will be a sharing, collaborative experience.
Some of the therapies that influence and inform my counselling methods are:
The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Person Centered Therapy
Family Systems Therapy
Together, you and I will find a method that feels comfortable to you.
